The Emir of Lame in Bauchi State, Alhaji Aliyu Yakubu Lame, has congratulated Governor Bala Mohammed on the occasion of his 68th birthday anniversary.

The Emir’s congratulatory message was contained in a statement issued by his Chief of Staff, Babangida Suleiman Lame, on Sunday.

Speaking on behalf of his family, district heads, traditional rulers, the Lame Emirate Council and the people of the emirate, the monarch described Governor Mohammed’s tenure as one characterised by wisdom, peace and progress.

He commended the governor for fostering meaningful collaboration with traditional institutions and other stakeholders across the state, saying his leadership and statesmanlike disposition had remained a source of inspiration.

“Your reign has witnessed a remarkable transformation in traditional leadership and meaningful collaboration with the people of Bauchi State. This collaboration has contributed to the transformation of the state. Indeed, your guidance and statesmanlike disposition have remained a source of inspiration to all of us in the state,” the Emir said.

He described Governor Mohammed as a leader who listens, a builder with vision and a governor committed to delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.

“Your Excellency, your journey is one of wisdom, courage and unwavering service to the people of Bauchi State. You are a leader who listens, a builder who dreams and a governor who delivers dividends of democracy to the electorate,” he said.

The monarch also commended the peaceful atmosphere in Bauchi State under the governor’s administration, describing the state as one of the most peaceful in the country.

“At 68, your vision continues to inspire, your leadership unites, and your legacy shines brighter than ever across our beloved Bauchi State,” he added.

The Emir described the birthday as an important milestone and an opportunity to thank Almighty Allah for the governor’s life, good health and continued service to the people.

He prayed Allah to grant Governor Mohammed greater wisdom, strength, good health, long life and success in the discharge of his responsibilities, while continuing to grant him the capacity to lead the state towards greater development and prosperity.

The monarch also used the occasion to call on leaders at all levels to provide good governance and ensure that the country’s resources are utilised for the benefit of the people.

He expressed concern that Nigerians continue to experience hardship and deprivation despite the country’s abundant resources, describing the situation as abnormal.

The Emir, however, urged Nigerians to remain hopeful and steadfast, expressing optimism that Almighty Allah would, at the appropriate time, restore hope and guide the country towards peace, progress and prosperity.
