The North-East APC Youth Ambassadors, a political pressure group, has pledged to mobilise support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election bid in the 2027 general elections, citing the contributions of the Minister of Health, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, and the administration's efforts in the region.
The group's zonal chairman, Comrade Haruna Usman Muhammad, said it would embark on a mobilisation campaign across the six states of the North-East to canvass support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Haruna stated this on Sunday while addressing journalists in Bauchi, where he expressed confidence that the administration's initiatives in healthcare, education, agriculture, youth employment, economic development and security would help strengthen its support in the region.
He described Tinubu as a friend of the North-East, adding that the group was committed to supporting his re-election to enable him to continue implementing programmes aimed at improving the lives of Nigerians.
"We, the people of the North-East region, assure His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that we will elect him for a second term because he is a true friend of our people," Haruna said.
He also commended Prof. Ali Pate for his role in revitalising Nigeria's healthcare sector, describing his contributions as significant to Bauchi State, the North-East and the country at large.
According to him, the healthcare initiatives of the Tinubu administration have benefited states across the federation, while the minister's efforts have further strengthened the group's resolve to mobilise support for the president.
Haruna said the contributions of individuals such as Pate, whom he described as respected leaders, would feature prominently in the group's campaign to secure support for Tinubu's second-term ambition.
He further urged Nigerians, particularly residents of the North-East, to support the administration, citing its interventions in various sectors as reasons for the group's position.
The zonal chairman said the group was prepared to tour communities across the North-East to mobilise voters and canvass support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.
