A coalition of woWomen’s Group Endorses Pate for Bauchi 2027 Governorship Racemen within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in North-East has thrown its weight behind the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Muhammad Ali Pate, for the Bauchi State governorship election in 2027.
The group, operating under the banner of the North-East APC Women Vanguard, made its position known on Saturday during a press conference in Abuja, led by its coordinator, Esther Madaki.
Although Pate has yet to formally declare his ambition, the coalition said its endorsement followed “wide consultations, critical assessment, and careful consideration” of all aspirants within the party.
“Today, we stand united, resolute, and committed to the progress of Bauchi State and the success of our great party, the All Progressives Congress,” Madaki said while reading the group’s statement.
She described Pate as a candidate with “integrity, competence, and proven capacity,” citing his track record in public service at both national and international levels.
According to her, the minister possesses the experience and vision required to reposition Bauchi State for sustainable development.
The coalition further appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, members of the party’s National Working Committee, and other stakeholders to adopt Pate as the consensus candidate for the 2027 governorship election in Bauchi State.
“We firmly believe that among all those aspiring for the governorship under the APC in Bauchi State, Professor Pate stands out as the best among equals,” Madaki said.
She added that his inclusive leadership style, broad acceptance across political and social divides, and commitment to human capital development make him the most suitable candidate.
The group also pledged to mobilise grassroots support across all 20 local government areas of Bauchi State to ensure electoral victory for both Pate and the APC, should the party heed their call.
“This endorsement is not just a political statement—it is a call for competence, a demand for credible leadership, and a collective aspiration for a better Bauchi State,” she said.
The coalition urged party members and residents of the state to rally behind the minister in pursuit of what it described as a more prosperous future for Bauchi State.
