Group lauds CAC’s digital transformation

A Bauchi based group, Foundation for the Development of Shira Community (FODESCO), has commended the digital transformation of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in the country.

The group made the commendation at a press conference in Bauchi on Wednesday, saying that the commission has successfully transitioned to digital operations, enhancing efficiency, transparency, and accessibility.

Speaking, Engr. Shehu Wakili, Chairman, FODESCO, said that the visionary leadership of the Registrar General of the commission, Ishaq Hussain Magaji (SAN) has greatly transformed the commission, taking it to unprecedented heights of digital excellence.

Wakili, who also congratulated the Registrar General on his two years in office, added that his achievements within two years is a testament to his dedication, expertise, and commitment to public service.

It could be recalled that Magaji was appointed on October 13, 2023 as the Registrar General and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the commission by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He has been focused on improving the commission's services through digital reforms like AI-powered portals and mobile apps.

Magaji is the administrative head of the CAC, responsible for company registration and business regulation in Nigeria.

He has been spearheading the CAC's digital transformation, which includes implementing an AI-powered registration portal, introducing a mobile app, and onboarding historical records to make the system more efficient and transparent.

Also, he has recently partnered with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) to offer 250,000 free business name registrations for micro and small enterprises.

“FODESCO proudly acknowledges and celebrates this milestone, recognizing your positive impact on our community and the nation at large. We look forward to continued collaboration and progress,” said Wakili.
