A member representing Ningi Warji Federal Constituency of Bauchi State in the House of Representatives, Adamu Hashimu Ranga, has explained that 679mn would be spent to provide water, skills acquisition centers in his constituency.
He said said N100 million would be used to build three skills acquisition centers in Ningi, Warji and Burra, while N70 million will be used to provide potable water to Tabla community to reduce the problems of hunger, hardship and unemployment in his constituency.
Ranga said this in Bauchi when he interacted with journalists, saying that the sum of N8.5 million was used and distributed food items to bring succour to his constituents. The food items distributed include; maize, rice and bags of mille to households. Ranga said he sponsored 42 youth that learned basic skills in installations and repair of solar, satellite television, CCTV, software and hardware and financial tech business.
Ranga added he sponsored two bills for the creation of Federal College of Agriculture in Ningi and Federal College of Education in Warji and all the bills has scaled through first and second reading in the National Assembly.
Ranga said he also secured construction of classrooms blocks and offices and building of many health centers in his constituency. Lawmaker said part of his effort Tabla community in Ningi local Government benefited from construction of borehole worth N70 million.
The Reps member said the development will be in agriculture, industrialisation, microbusiness empowerment, youth and women’s empowerment which are central to the development plan. The lawmaker said most of the ideas in the development plan will be captured in the 2025 budget, adding that they would be easy to achieve with the support and concerted efforts of stakeholders in the constituency.
“Our vision is to create an optimistic, self-confident, prosperous Ningi Warji Federal Constituency through the utilisation of our human and natural resources and operating within a democratic, open, and fair sub-national where opportunities and fair opportunities exist for all,” he said.
Ranga said presently he has over N500m skills acquisition materials that would be used to empower his constituents. He said those constituents are targeted with a view to contributing meaningfully to their standard of livings and most importantly to end hardship and starvation in their livelihood.
He highlighted the materials to be distributed as Laptops, Moniepoints, Sewing Machines, Dryers, Generators and cash among others.
Some of the constituents interviewed commended the lawmaker and urged constituents to support his initiatives and the state government for more developments that would usher in unprecedented prosperity in the constituency.
